Restore and decorate your concrete with The ORIGINAL Solid Color Stain™, a premium water based decorative concrete stain made especially for use with existing, unsealed, interior or exterior concrete surfaces. The ORIGINAL Solid Color Stain is NOT a paint. The advanced polymer-modified concrete stain formula penetrates the surface of porous concrete (as deep as the surface pores) and creates an opaque (solid), yet breathable finish that requires no sealer.*
Applications & Uses
The ORIGINAL Solid Color Stain is commonly used to restore previously colored concrete surfaces or to rejuvenate old, tired-looking concrete by completely covering discolorations or stains. It can be used on concrete flatwork, vertical surfaces, concrete blocks, pavers, imprinted concrete, exposed aggregate, and many other cementitious surfaces. It can also be used with sandblasting stencils. It is perfect for use over micro-toppings and overlays.
It may be used on a variety of substrates, including concrete, masonry, pavers, brick and stucco. Not recommended for non-porous substrates, e.g. metal, porcelain, glass, fiberglass.
NewLook's solid concrete stain is ideal for driveways, garage floors, pool decks, retail offices, restaurants, hotels, theme parks, shopping malls, schools, convention centers, and other high traffic areas. It may be used for interior or exterior, residential and commercial applications.

Coverage & Packaging
The ORIGINAL Solid Color Stain is a unique 4-part kit that, once mixed and applied, has an extremely tenacious bond with the substrate. - Large size (32 oz.) kit covers approximately 350-400 square feet (32 square meters) twice.** Stamped and very porous surfaces may yield 250-350 square feet twice. Smooth interiors may yield up to 500 square feet twice.
- Small size (4 oz.) kit covers approximately 45-50 square feet (4 square meters) twice.**
**An average of two coats (of 350-400 sq. ft.) are recommended to create a solid, opaque finish. A semi-transparent finish can be created using only one coat (of 700-800 sq. ft.).

A: Yes, you can. It's compatible with many concrete sealers. But we recommend you avoid sealing it if possible; sealing compromises its maintainability since you are at the mercy of a sealer when you do maintenance applications (unless you use SmartSeal WB). If there is a concern about longevity then go ahead and seal it. Note: you must seal SmartColor and the Enhancers.
Q: How many arms and legs must I pay for this miracle product?

Even concrete itself breaks down over time and needs to be cleaned or even replaced! After all, you wouldn't buy a brand new car and never wash it, right? Likewise, decorative concrete surfaces must also be maintained because of wear and tear. However, NewLook's concrete stains have a compelling value proposition; they are an integral part of a comprehensive system of decorative concrete maintenance solutions that allow you to easily and conveniently maintain the image of your concrete. Sealing NewLook concrete stains with SmartSeal will indeed extend the life of The ORIGINAL Solid Color Stain.
Q: How long does The ORIGINAL Solid Color Stain last?
A: It depends on the wear and tear of the surface. For example, a stained driveway with light-to-moderate traffic might "last" 2 to 5 years before you might want to revitalize or maintain it. Sealing it will increase the longevity, too. Since The ORIGINAL Solid Color Stain is the most maintainable concrete stain on the market you do not have to spend time or money stripping a concrete sealer (unless you've sealed it with something other than SmartSeal). Simply pressure-wash and apply a single coat of stain, which translates into half the cost and time of the original application. Of course, this is assuming your concrete doesn't necessitate additional preparation.
Q: Is it normal to go through withdrawals when not using The ORIGINAL Solid Color Stain?
